The original curatorial theme remains the consistent thread running through all iterations of the project as is the fact that the original group of 60 artists will continue to be invited to contribute a drawing to each exhibition. Changed titles will reflect the development of the project as it takes place in different regional galleries with artists from those regions invited to exhibit.
60+10 explores, defines and celebrates the locality and discipline of drawing in its diverse forms. 60 artists, from a variety of different disciplines who exhibited in an exhibition in 2012 in Manchester, were invited once more to submit a drawing alongside 10 new artists invited to exhibit alongside the original 60 at The Whitaker.
This is a full-day workshop with a break for lunch. During the day, you will explore a drawing technique using embossed paper and a grid as drawing aids.
